Opening:
The meeting was opened by the President, Clayton Smith (VE3XK), at 19:30 hours. He welcomed three visitors: Dave Conn (VE3KL), the speaker for the evening, Avinash Aeron (VU2ACD) from Bangalore India, and Andrew Lawlor. Dave Conn joined the club during the meeting.


Secretary's Report:
The Secretary, Glenn MacDonell (VE3XRA), introduced the minutes of the October meeting.
Moved by the Secretary, that the minutes be approved and posted; seconded by Rich Ferch (VE3KI).

Treasurer's Report:
In Treasurer, Andy Hart (VE3BNK), reported a current bank balance of $690 and noted that the club had 22 regular members and 3 life members.


Vice President's Report:
The Vice President, Doug Leach (VE3XK), reported that speakers have been arranged for all meetings through July 2015. The next meeting will include the club's Annual General meeting at which time the club will elect the Vice President and treasurer.

Reports / Project Updates

Beacons
Doug Leach reported on further steps towards the re-installation of the 6m to 70 cm beacons.

Broadband Hamnet
Clayton Smith and Bert Zauhar (VE2ZAZ) reported further developments in their work to maintain and use a link across the Otawa River from North Kanata to Alymer, Quebec, a distance of 11km. Clayton described a website http://heywhatsthat.com that generates path profiles and showed the profile from his QTH to Bert's. Bert provided members with information on sources of Broadband Hamnet hardware and shared recomended practices to ensure that the "waterproof bullet M2" remained waterproof.

Microwave Update 2014
Four club members had atended this annual conference that took place in October 2014 in Rochester, New York. They shared impressions and highlights of the event.


Presentation
Dave Conn (VE3KL) gave us a talk entitled "Antenna Tuners revealed". The presentation is now posted on the club website.
