Opening:
The meeting was opened by President Al Penney(VO1NO) at 19:30 hours.

The President welcomed guests to the meeting and outlined upcoming events, including upcoming VHF+ sprints (144MHz April 12, 22MHz April 20, 432MHz April 28 all from 7-11pm local time; microwave sprint Saturday May 1 6am-1pm local, 50MHz 2300Z May 8 to 0300Z may 9) and the Iroquois hamfest on April 3. Preparations for the club's grid expedition to FN04 for the ARRL June QSO Party, June 12-14 are continuing.

Secretary's Report:
Secretary Glenn MacDonell(VE3XRA) introduced the minutes of the previous meeting. Moved by VE3XRA-Glenn MacDonell that the previous minutes as published on the web pages be approved. Seconded by VE2ZAZ-Bert Zauhar.

Motion approved.




Treasurer's Report:
Acting Treasurer Doug Leach(VE3XK) reported in the absence of the Secretary (who was spending all of March in Resolute Bay). The club bank balance at the end of February was roughly unchanged from the previous month and should grow slightly as the few remaining membership renewals are completed and the club sells donated equipment at upcoming hamfests. Doug, VE3XK received payments for renewals during the meeting. reported that

General Reports:

Brief verbal reports on club projects noted:
- the beacons were operating normally (Doug, VE3XK),
- the 5.8GHz telephone project is proceeding and and distance testing would be undertaken in the warmer weather (Glenn, VE3XRA)
- the need to update the server for the D-STAR repeater (Rick, VECVG).
There was a brief discussion on the club's repeaters noting that they were lightly used and encouraging members to take advantage of them.
Bert, VE2ZAZ, invited members who were completing the Bluetooth radio interface project to let him know how the assmbly and operations had gone.
