Minutes of the Annual General Meeting on December 01, 2009
The meeting was held in the Kanata Room in Sobey's, at the SW corner of Hazeldean and Terry Fox Drive in Kanata.

Opening:
The meeting was opened by President Al Penney(VO1NO) at 19:30 hours.
Al - VO1NO asked guests and members to introduce themselves.
Secretary's Report:
Secretary Barney Baker(VA3BGB) introduced the minutes of the previous meeting. Moved by VA3BGB-Barney Baker that the previous minutes as published on the web pages be approved. Seconded by VE3XK-Doug Leach.
Motion approved.
Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer Ken Asmus(VA3KA) reported that the club had 32 paid up members, $900.00 on hand, with outstanding bills of ?.
Old Business:
Al - VO1NO conducted the vote regarding the approval of three life memberships. All were approved.
New Business:
Al - VO1NO informed members that Jerry Sevick - W2FMI became a silent key on the 29th Nov 2009.
He also read to members the annual President's Report for 2009. For details see History Tab under 2009
Al - VO1NO presented a life membership to Phil - VE3CIQ, Manfred - VA3WK and Kieran - VA3KS. All attendees congratulated the three life members. For Pictures see Membership Tab
Elections
Al - VO1NO accepted Andy Hart as volunteer for the director position replacing Dale - VE3XZT. Approved.
Al - VO1NO accepted Glenn MacDonell as volunteer for the secretary position replacing Barney - VA3BGB. Approved.
Al - VO1NO volunteered to continue in the presidents position. Approved
General Reports:
5.8GHz Phones
Glenn - VE3XRA described the present status and his concept for future testing.
D-STAR
Ken - VA3KA informed members that Tyler - VA3DGN was now a member of the D-STAR team.
Repeaters
Dale - VE3XZT reported that all his repeaters were well.
Steve - VE3LWX reported that the 444.300MHz IRLP node was under review and may require a computer replacement.
Adjournment:
The President Al Penney(VO1NO) stated that there being no further business, the meeting would be adjourned. The meeting was closed at 20:50 hours.
Christmas Party:
Following the meeting adjournment, a social gathering was held where much discussion ensued.
