Rick, VE3CVG, was in the chair as Tom, VA3NFA, was away. Ken, VA3KA was away in Yellowknife, NWT.

The 432 and 903 MHz beacons are operating well, as is Kieran's (VA3KS) on the 144 MHz band.

Rick reported that the D-STAR systems are installed. They are working on getting Internet service to the site at 180 Argyle Ave. A fixed IP address is needed. Work is also progressing on the 902 MHz band repeater - at the same location.

There was discussion of the Hydro Smart Meters and the current situation in Chatham-Kent.

The tour of the Diefenbunker is planned for May 1, meeting night. $12.50 each - club members pay half that. Tour will be about 2 hours - starting at 7:00 PM.

Dale, VE3XZT, spoke briefly about WinDRM digital voice using the PC sound card and software. Digital voice occupies a 2.5 kHz bandwidth.

On Tuesday, April 17, Doug, VE3XK, and Ken, VA3KA, will talk on D-STAR at the Manotick Amateur Radio Group.

The Iroquois fleamarket will be on Saturday, April 21.

Rick showed a 10GHz feed antenna for a 2 foot dish - around $100C.
Rick suggests that everyone bring in their projects for Show and Tell next regular meeting.

The next meeting will be the Diefenbunker tour on May 1, 2007.
